Welcome to February! You can tell when it’s below zero outside because the RRRMC gets busy on the pistol and rifle ranges.
We hosted a collegiate sectional match on Feb. 3 & 4. It’s enjoyable to watch young shooters. The NDSU team did well and qualified shooters for the nationals. I don’t have results yet but we will let you know next month how they did.
Our yearly raffle is still ongoing and we are a little behind last year’s sales. Please come out and purchase tickets as it is our biggest fundraiser for the range.
Scheels will be having a test drive on Tuesday, February 27 from 4 – 8 pm. The manufacturer is H & K. They produce great handguns. (I own a few of them.) Come on out and test drive H & K guns.
Ladies Night continues in February. On Friday, February 9 our beginners class is 6 pm to 7:30 pm. This includes classroom instruction and one on one shooting instruction – all for $10.
Also, on Friday the 9th we will be holding a co-ed class from 7:30 to 9 pm. This event allows the ladies to bring their male friend, partner or husband to shoot with them.
Our Winter Shooting Leagues are going very well. We have over 80 participants. Leagues can be shot at the rifle and pistol range during any open shoot time. We also have a scheduled pistol league night on February 16 starting at 6 pm. We have quite a few people shoot on these nights as it adds a social aspect to the league shoots. Come on out and join the leagues. You can start anytime and have until April to complete.
As always, thanks to our volunteers, members and walk in shooters. All of you make the RRRMC a great place.
