Defensive Handgun – Level 1
Start in the large classroom and then move into the pistol range. In the first hour, registration, equipment check and introduction. The rest of the time will be in the pistol range where we will cover proper stance, proper grip, sight alignment, sight picture and proper loading and unloading procedures. We will finish with holster drawing procedures and dry firing.
There will be a short shooting exercise at the end of the evening to determine how well each person has grasped the concepts, and if they possess the shooting skills to move to the Level II Defensive Handgun class.
Defensive Handgun – Level 2
We will begin with the first hour in the small classroom and then moving to the range for the remainder of the day.
In this class we will continue working on drawing and shooting skills, controlled pairs, possible head shots, loading and unloading, multiple targets, friend or foe targets, malfunction drills. We will also introduce situational awareness, avoiding a conflict whenever possible, visualizing escape routes when entering a room or building.
Both Level I (formerly Basic) and Level II (formerly Level I) classes have a non-refundable fee of $60.00. Pre-registration is required to be received by RRRMC along with payment payable upon registration. ID’s will be checked so please to bring a valid driver’s license.
