Do I need a membership to shoot at Red River Range? +
No. Walk-in shooters are welcome. A membership can lower per-visit costs, but it is not required to use the range. See current rates and membership options .
What should I bring for my first visit? +
Bring a valid photo ID, your firearm, ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection. Review the First Visit page before you arrive.
Does Red River Range rent firearms? +
No. Red River Range does not offer firearm rentals. Please bring your own firearm, eye protection, and ear protection. The First Visit page has the basic arrival checklist.
Do I need to sign a waiver? +
Yes. All shooters must have a signed liability waiver on file and renew it annually. You can complete the waiver online before your visit.
What are the range hours? +
The handgun range is open seven days a week. Rifle range and business office hours vary by day and season, so check the Hours page before you visit.
Can youth shoot at the range? +
Yes. Youth shooters must be accompanied by a paying adult. Youth ages 17 and under shoot free on Tuesdays with a paying adult. See rates and youth program options .
What safety rules should I know before visiting? +
Follow all Range Safety Officer instructions, wear eye and ear protection, keep firearms unloaded and cased away from the firing line, and review the range safety rules .
Are any rifle cartridges prohibited? +
Yes. The rifle range does not allow cartridges producing over 4,000 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle. Check the Safety page or ask the Range Safety Officer if you are unsure.
How do I register for a class? +
Start on the Classes page , choose the training category that matches your goal, then use the registration link on that category page to view current dates and sign up.
Does Red River Range offer concealed carry classes? +
Red River Range hosts concealed carry classes, but outside instructors manage their own schedules and registration. The Classes page lists current instructor contacts.
Can I rent a meeting room without shooting? +
Yes. Meeting and classroom space is available for groups, training sessions, workshops, and private events. You do not have to be a shooter to rent a room .
